Abstract: The pursuit of an HIV cure faces significant challenges, including the central role of CD4+T cells in the initial immune response, the rapid establishment of latent infection in multiple tissues, and the development of resistance mechanisms in infected cells. Understanding these hurdles is crucial for devising effective therapeutic and preventive strategies.
