Abstract: Intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorder has been more linked to other professional profiles than to that of physiotherapy in pediatrics, where, in addition, the alteration of the motor area has not been recognized in the scientific evidence in a robust way until the last decade. Thus, it makes much more sense that the profile of the physiotherapist can be part of the teams involved in the intervention of these children, together with their families, facilitating their knowledge to generate strategies to improve motor function, which will have repercussions in the rest of the areas of development. Thus, it is necessary to know in detail different aspects related to early detection, physiotherapeutic assessment of this population group and the different therapeutic strategies that scientific evidence provides us with in order to obtain better results.
Abstract : La intervención en el Trastorno del Espectro Autista ha estado más ligada a otros perfiles profesionales que al de la fisioterapia en pediatría, donde, además, la alteración del área motora no ha sido reconocida en la evidencia científica de manera robusta hasta la pasada década. De esta manera, cobra mucho más sentido que el perfil del fisioterapeuta pueda formar parte de los equipos involucrados en la intervención de estos niños y de estas niñas, junto con sus familias, facilitando sus conocimientos para generar estrategias que mejoren la función motriz, la cual va a repercutir en el resto de áreas del desarrollo. Así, se necesitan conocer con detalles distintos aspectos relacionados con la detección temprana, la valoración fisioterapéutica de este grupo poblacional y las distintas estrategias terapéuticas que la evidencia científica nos brinda para poder obtener unos mejores resultados.

Resumen
La intervención en el Trastorno del Espectro Autista ha estado más ligada a otros perfiles profesionales que al de la fisioterapia en pediatría, donde, además, la alteración del área motora no ha sido reconocida en la evidencia científica de manera robusta hasta la pasada década.
